They are really appreciated these recoveries, I behind on listening (now start with Secka) but I picking excited, especially emotion today, reading Ndeye Marie Ndaye in the chorus, which recently disappeared.
Excellent post, Aduna and thank you for bringing me back to my childhood days. However, Ngoni, you're M.I.A. because Ndeye Marie Ndiaye disappeared like 2 or 3 years ago. Her loss was a big blow to Senegalese music. I still remember her performance at Youssou N'Dour's concert in London in 2002, which was his 5th best concert after the 1991 and 1993 concerts in Sorano, the 2004 and 2005 Bercy shows. Check it out if you got the chance
I think I liked Dieylo, best: no French "improvements" by way of strings, foreign stars, and local tv appearances in lieu of great indigenous music, here! Thanks for the music.
